This Privacy Policy explains how Localign B.V. ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit www.localign.com (the "Website"), and what rights you have under the GDPR.

In short

  • We use functional and analytics cookies to run and improve the Website.
  • Our website analytics are self-hosted (no third-party analytics providers).
  • We use Google Ads only to measure whether visitors who arrive from a Google ad go on to subscribe. This is done server-side, without placing any Google advertising cookie on your device.
  • If you subscribe, we only use your details to manage your subscription and contact you.
  • We use TransIP (NL) as our hosting provider.
  • We use Flexmail (BE) to send our emails. What is shared: organisation name and users email address. We use it for technical emails (e.g. login codes), service emails (e.g. status and product changes) and, optionally, content emails (e.g. offerings and events).

2. What data we collect

We only collect data that is needed to run and improve our Website and to handle (optional) subscriptions.

A. Website usage & technical data

  • Device and browser information (e.g., browser type, OS, screen size)
  • Approximate location (country/region) derived from IP address
  • Pages visited, clicks, time on page, referrer or entry page
  • Technical logs for security and performance
  • If you arrive from a Google Ads campaign, the Google click identifier (gclid) contained in your link

B. Subscription data (optional)

  • Name (if requested)
  • Email
  • Any additional fields you choose to provide (e.g., organisation)

3. Why we use your data

  • Operate and secure the Website
  • Measure and improve performance and user experience
  • Manage subscriptions and communicate with subscribers
  • Measure the effectiveness of our Google Ads campaigns (whether a visitor who clicked an ad goes on to subscribe)

  • A first-party record of the Google Ads click identifier (gclid), stored locally on your device so a later subscription can be attributed to the ad you clicked. We do not place Google advertising cookies and do not use third-party advertising trackers.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data.

TransIP (Netherlands) - hosting provider, acting only on our instructions as a data processor.

Flexmail (Belgium) - email delivery provider, acting only on our instructions as a data processor. What is shared: organisation name and users email address. We use it for technical emails (e.g. login codes), service emails (e.g. status and product changes) and, optionally, content emails (e.g. offerings and events).

Google (Google Ads) - if you arrive via a Google Ads campaign and then subscribe, we send the Google click identifier (gclid) and the fact that a conversion occurred to Google so we can measure campaign performance. We do not share your name or email with Google for this purpose. Google acts as an independent controller for this conversion data.

7. International transfers

We aim to keep data processing within the EEA. If transfers outside the EEA occur, appropriate safeguards will be applied.

Our Google Ads conversion measurement (see section 6) involves a transfer to Google LLC in the United States. This transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Data retention

  • Subscription data: until you unsubscribe or request deletion
  • Analytics data: retained for 24 months
  • Server/security logs: retained for 90 days

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures such as access controls and secure hosting practices.

10. Your rights
